Apple TV+ dropped its first trailer for their new dystopian series Silo and honestly…IT LOOKS LIKE A HELL OF A RIDE! Based on the New York Times bestselling trilogy of dystopian novels by Hugh Howey, it tells the story of the last ten thousand people on earth. They live in an underground bunker that supposedly protects them from the toxic and deadly world outside. But you always know that stories like this are never what they seem.
That’s where Rebecca Ferguson comes in. She plays Juliette, an engineer, who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder. What she doesn’t expect is to stumble on a mystery that will shatter the existence that they have lived in for God only knows how long. Because places like this…they hold secrets. And maybe those people who claim that the world is poisoned are lying? Or maybe this is an experiment? It could even be some M. Night Shyamalan twist where they are doing this for the safety of the community in the style of The Village.
Either way, Juliette is on a mission to figure out what happened. And her character will be accompanied by Common, Emmy-nominee Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Critics Choice Award and NAACP winner David Oyelowo, Emmy-nominee Rashida Jones, and Academy Award-winner Tim Robbins. In addition, Emmy-nominated screenwriter Graham Yost will serve as showrunner with Academy Award-nominee Morten Tyldum directing the first three episodes.
Ferguson will also serve as executive producer for the 10-episode drama series.
