We’re not going to lie, the spy series Mission Impossible has been a hard franchise to get into. There are just too many movies, Tom Cruise is…Tom Cruise, and they seem like serious movies that could learn something from the Fast & Furious franchise. I said, what I said. But the news that Hannah Waddingham is joining Mission Impossible 8 might get us to watch. At least this upcoming movie.
Director Christoper McQuarrie took to Instagram to welcome Waddingham with what we assume is a first look at her character. And with Mission Impossible 7 aka Dead Reckoning Part One set to hit theaters on July 14, 2023, we know we won’t see her in action until June 2024. Which might be perfect in the long run because it will give us time to catch up just for her.
And we’re not the only ones excited for Waddingham to join any project she can get her hands on when she isn’t blowing everyone away on Ted Lasso.
Some were ready for Waddingham to take on Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt.
Others we a little overwhelmed by the stacked cast, which now includes Waddingham.
And we can all agree that Waddingham was and will always be mother.
Mission Impossible 8 is set to release on June 28, 2024.
