We watch a lot of TV! In case all the reviews, interviews, news, and features didn’t give you a clue (wink, wink), we’ve decided to come together once a week to highlight all those great moments that our favorite shows give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
Badass Character of the Week
Raquel: Queen Charlotte. The trailer for Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story showed us that Charlotte is a force to be reckoned with and that she will fight everyone and everything to stay true to herself. Although they try to manage her like a puppet, they will not succeed.
Lizzie: Stella Kidd, on Chicago Fire. She got a gun pointed at her, had to hide in a hallway from gunfire, and she still had the presence of mind to do something to draw the fight away from the victim she had to save. How? No, but seriously, how? And then we also got to see the emotional side of Stella in this episode, as she talked to Cruz about missing Severide. Because women can kick ass and also have emotions!
OTP of the Week
Raquel: Chenford!! Even though The Rookie‘s last episode gave us little crumbs of them, their complicity, the way they complement each other, and how happy they are in the place they are now, make them my OTP of the week, once further.
Rachel: I think I have to go with Charlie and Emma on The Company You Keep. The show got a huge plot point out of the way by having Charlie find out Emma works for the CIA. And it strengthened their bond. Emma still doesn’t know Charlie and his family are con artists but this new revelation made Charlie even more determined to pay the debt to Daphne and get himself and his family out of crime for good. “I never wanted to go straight until her,” Charlie told his dad. And Charlie and Emma end the episode in each other’s arms. That’s great ship stuff right there.
Lizzie: Densi, on NCISLA. Forever and always. Seeing them as parents just makes it all mean more — because they had their ups and downs, they grew, and they are now here, and their love is the thing that has made it all possible. It makes me sad to think we’re losing them, but they really did give us one of the best OTPs in the history of OTPs.
Moment that made you collapse into a puddle of FEELS
Ashley W.: Spoilers for Superman & Lois episode 3×02 “Uncontrollable Forces”!
Lois’s mistaken pregnancy actually being a stage 3 inflammatory breast cancer diagnosis is the saddest thing I’ve come across in a TV show in a very long time, and I am heartbroken for her, Clark, and their boys.
Raquel: Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story trailer. I was jumping with excitement at the trailer and everything else to come with this show. And I have to say that it was something that I didn’t expect at all.
Ashley T: When Geordi sees Data for the first time this week in Star Trek: Picard 3×06 “The Bounty,” I fully admit to getting a bit misty-eyed. How would you feel if your bestie who had been dead for several years is suddenly, possibly alive again? It was wonderful.
Quote of the Week
Ashley W.: “You want a beer? You want a beer? Here’s your beer, bitch.” -Sarah Cushing, Superman & Lois. And since it’s better to watch than read, you can check out this epic scene right here.
Raquel: “We are happy in the place we are” – Lucy, The Rookie.
Ashley T: “Good. I was practicing deceit.” – Worf, Star Trek: Picard 3×06 “The Bounty”
WTF Moment of the Week
Raquel: The entire last episode of The Rookie. Seriously, what the hell was that? (Insert rolling eyes emoji here).
Rachel: This one’s easy: The revelation that Ziggy is the mole on Quantum Leap. Like..WHUT?!?!?!? WHAT IS GOING ON???? Is this turning into an AI-gone-evil story? And what is the team going to do? How do they get Ben home at all if the supercomputer they rely on for the project is bad? This is the right kind of twist– it raises questions the audience needs to have answered.
Ashley T.: I was baffled to learn in Star Trek: Picard 3×06 that apparently Starfleet keeps the remains of certain deceased captains in cryo storage?! WHY?!! And a GMO Tribble. Because you know, that’s a good idea. *shudders*.
Lizzie: Voight literally ignoring every rule about trials, plus laws, and jury tampering left and right — you know, for a good cause. I hate how Chicago P.D. makes this mean into a hero when what he truly is is just another criminal, just one with a badge.
Liv: Continuing with my reality TV obsession, I’m going for Irina and Micah in Love is Blind. I have never seen two people be so horrible towards other people for no reason. Surely they should be more focused on their own matches.
