In The Rookie 5×18 “Double Trouble” we return to the documentary format, which we don’t like at all. We are prepared to get bored like oysters in this part of the episode. We said what we said.
That being said, the episode will not be in the documentary format in its entirety so we will have some moments that will capture our attention. Lucy goes undercover again as Dim’s girlfriend and that will bring up some compromising situations — and memories — for Chenford.
The promo for The Rookie 5×18 “Double Trouble” clearly wants us to worry about Chenford but that doesn’t work for us. We are not worried at all. They have to address what it means for their relationship to work closely, from when they feel that way about each other, and the fear of losing out by having a high-risk job.
Also, we think it’s time they made it public, don’t you think? It seems that this episode is going to address some of those issues. That’s a very good thing because it means the show is stabilizing the ship.

Watched “Double Trouble” last night. That was by far the worst episode of The Rookie We have ever watched….Made no sense…Documentary idea was boring.
