After a two-year delay, the My Adventures With Superman series is finally upon us. The animated series promises a side of Superman we have yet to see on TV while following familiar material aka young Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen in Metropolis as they come into their own as reporters for the Daily Planet.
Here’s everything we know about Adult Swim’s My Adventures With Superman, from who’s playing Clark, the rest of the cast, the plot, and where you can watch it.

What Is ‘My Adventures With Superman’ About, and Who Is In It?
The new animation series follows twenty-something Clark Kent, played by The Boys’ Jack Quaid, and Lois Lane, voiced by Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’s Alice Lee. Ishmel Sahid voices Jimmy Olsen, who joins Clark and Lois as their trusted photographer as they start their careers at the Daily Planet. Surprisingly as interns! The trio will uncover secrets, go on adventures and take down bad guys to become the heroes we’ve all come to know and love.

To add, My Adventures With Superman is described as a coming-of-age story for Clark Kent, where he builds his secret identity, becomes a reporter, and explores his Kryptonian origins. Lois Lane is on her way to becoming a badass reporter and enlists the help of Jimmy to cover the stories that matter. In the middle of all this, Kent can’t help but fall in love with Lois as she gets closer to discovering his real identity.
For the most part, the show is a comedic, modern take on Superman’s origin story about three friends going through life’s adventures together. Plus, who wants to miss seeing Clark stumble through the Daily Planet while trying to hide his powers from Lois? I sure don’t! In addition to the three interns, other familiar characters who we’ll get to see in the series include Lana Lang (Jeannie Tirado). Supergirl/Kara Zor-El (Kiana Madeira), Flip (Azuri Hardy-Jones), and Winslow Schott (Michael Yurchak) will also feature.
Jack Quaid On His Role As DC’s Superman

It’ll be fun to see Jack Quaid’s portrayal of Superman after his role as Superhero hater Hughie Campbell on The Boys. In the Amazon series, Hughie develops a deep loathing for the superheroes after one of them kills his girlfriend in a freak accident.
During a 2021 interview with Cinemablend, Quaid revealed he read the graphic novel All-Star Superman to get research and prepare for his role as the last son of Krypton.
As a result, Jack confessed he’d become a rabid Superman fan and has high hopes fans will love the series. “I’m really excited to be a part of it and really excited for audiences to see it. I think we have a really cool take on a really classic character. It’s awesome.”
When Is ‘My Adventures With Superman’s’ Premiere Date?
My Adventures With Superman premieres on July 6 on Adult Swim and then available the following day on Max, previously HBO Max. Two back-to-back episodes will air on the premiere day, with new episodes dropping weekly on Thursdays.
