Outlander season 7 is almost here! We sat down to chat with executive producer Maril Davis about the necessary female point in romance, the scene this season she’s most proud of, and the plan for the series finale. Ready?
Here we go!
The Importance of the Female Point of View in Outlander Season 7

In Outlander season 7, the female team behind the scenes seems to stand out more than in other seasons. Maril Davis shares with us how a female perspective influences the way romance is told and why it is important to have a female point of view in these types of stories.
Focusing a little more on the adaptation, Outlander season 7 has the difficult task of adapting three books from the “Outlander” series by Diana Gabaldon. Maril Davis discussed with us one of the scenes she’s most proud of this season. But don’t worry, she managed to do it without spoilers!
Moving forward and looking to the future, although we still haven’t gotten used to the idea that Outlander is ending, the truth is that season 8 will be the last of the show. With nine books out of ten currently published by Diana Gabaldon, Maril Davis opens up about her plans for the series finale and what her intention is regarding the yet unpublished book ten.
Is Maril Davis planning to follow Game of Thrones‘ example and adapt the story to the end, even though the latest book hasn’t been published yet? Or, on the contrary, she will ignore that part of the story? Well, you’ll have to watch the video to find out!
