The fun thing about Saw X (did we say fun? maybe fun is the wrong word) is that it really is the tenth installment in the Saw franchise. Yes, you read that right, the tenth installment. Chronologically, the movie is set between Saw I and Saw II, because why make these movies in any kind of order? The not-so-fun thing is that …well, if the first movie was kinda surprising, how can the franchise think it can pull the same thing now?
We already know the tricks. Not only has this franchise done it before, plenty of others have.
But hey, if it worked once, and it sorta worked a few other times, and made decent money, guess they gotta try it again and again?
So, here is the trailer for Saw X, Let’s see if we actually get this one when we’re supposed to get it. Chances are, if things stay the way they are, we might not.
John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most disturbing installment of the SAW franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of SAW I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.
Saw X will be in theaters on September 29th, 2023.
