Totally Killer continues Kiernan Shipka‘s love for all things horror. After her stand-out performance in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and then guest starring in Riverdale as the same character, she’s not giving up all things spooky. She’s just hitting it from a different angle. And Totally Killer seems to be just that when you take into consideration that it’s about catching a serial killer but there’s time travel involved.
To set the stage, we have 17-year-old Jamie, played by Shipka. She’s rebellious, of course, and ignores her mother’s warning around Halloween. As expected, things go wrong and she comes face to mask with the monster who took the lives of three teens 35 years ago. This leads to her, now stay with me here, time traveling into the past and then teaming up with a teenage version of her mom to save the day.
Oh, and the photos? Well, they are terrifying all on their own. But they do have the flare that comes with 80’s movies. And from the outfits to the hair, it’s all there.
