Like all of the world (at least it feels like all of the world) we were interested in everything having to do with Scandoval. It was partially because we needed to know how people could think that they wouldn’t be found out, but also because we didn’t understand how everyone didn’t see it.
Then again, we didn’t either.
That being said, Scandoval still captivates a part of our lives. With the next season of Vanderpump Rules filming, we’ve all be wondering where is Rachel. We know that she went to work on her mental health (which we applaud). But her going to talk to Bethenny Frankel about her side of the story? We don’t agree that was the smartest move.
Don’t think for a second we don’t believe that Bethenny exploited Rachel for the ratings.
Rachel said that she went on the podcast, to show “her case as an example of exploitation” in the world of reality TV, but while that may be part of it, we’re calling bullshit on that being the overall case. And while we can appreciate that Bethenny is standing up for reality TV, we also don’t for a second think that she’s just trying to find a way to stay relevant.
We appreciate Kyle Cooke, who is a reality TV star from Summer House, calling out the whole thing. Kyle doesn’t shy away from speaking his mind.
On an Instagram post about the interview Kyle commented, “The irony of it all: Bethenny cashing in ads as she ‘exposes Bravo exploits’ and gives Rachel ‘a voice.'”
Kyle continued, “She literally has more ad spots than any other podcast I’ve ever listened to. Rachel won’t see a dime lol. I bet she had to pay her way to fly to B just to record this. If this was a true PSA it would be ad free.”
