We get that when it comes to Hollywood they are going to reboot and add to a lot of franchises versus finding new ones. We understand that just because an actor was a star of a franchise in the past, they are most likely to return (if they want to). We’re not angry about that.
We love the fact that Eddie Murphy is back as Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. There is no one else that would be able to play that role.
There is no one else that we’d ever want to play that role.
In this new film, “Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) is back on the beat in Beverly Hills. After his daughter’s life is threatened, she (Taylour Paige) and Foley team up with a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy.”
