The thing about Challengers is that, at this point, we’re not sure what we’re rooting for in this love triangle. Because this actually feels like a love triangle. Anyone can end up with anyone! Honestly, that’s part of the appeal. Even Zendaya’s Tashi sees it. And calls it out.
Patrick and Art are giving vibes too. So, I guess this is going to be a fun and chaotic movie. In a way, that makes it even more interesting. Well, that and the tennis. We’re suckers for a good tennis movie. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a good one.
You can check out the Challengers clip below:
Tennis player turned coach Tashi (Zendaya) has taken her husband, Art (Mike Faist), and transformed him into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a “Challenger” event — close to the lowest level of pro tournament — where he finds himself standing across the net from his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend (Josh O’Connor).
