Yes, the Chicago P.D. finale just aired. But if you think that means you get a break, think again, because writers room are just getting back to work. So that means TVLine got to ask Chicago P.D. showrunner Gwen Sigan about the Burzek wedding, and whether that would be something we would see in Season 12. Her answer? Well, she didn’t say a straight-up yes, but she also didn’t say no.
Basically, she tried to play coy. But there’s no way they could really put this off a season, could they? Could they?
I mean, they could, but they really, really shouldn’t. It’s been way too long to wait for the engagement, there should be no reason to wait for a wedding. And though Kim and Adam are probably the type to do more of a wedding than Jay and Hailey did, it’s hard to imagine them doing a huge wedding, either.
Tough at least give me Kim in a wedding dress, Chicago P.D. That’s all I ask. Kim. Wedding dress. I’ve been robbed enough.
“I think it’ll be fun [to write],” is what Sigan actually told TVLine. “There’s definitely a possibility of, ‘Are we going to do the wedding next year? Are we going to do the planning? What are we going to see?’ So, I’m excited to figure out all of that.” Not a confirmation. Not a denial. But we think it’s more a yes than a no. And honestly, why even put it off at this point?
Let’s get Makayla’s parents married, once and for all.
Chicago P.D. returns to NBC this fall.
