Perfect Match season 2 has landed on Netflix and it’s as unhinged as you probably think. Reality stars from shows like Too Hot to Handle, Dated & Related, Love is Blind, and more enter a villa in Mexico in search of “love.” Hosted by Nick Lachey, the set of recognizable faces try to find their perfect match while doing compatibility tests. And like every reality TV show, the drama follows with a healthy dose of moments that we can’t stop thinking; from the out-of-pocket to the funny. Here are our top 10 best moments from Perfect Match season 2!
1. Harry breaking up with Elys and laughing
Harry really thinks that he’s the catch of the season no matter what show he’s on. And he did that in the most unhinged way when breaking up with Elys. It was a juxtaposition of him acting like he was letting her go because he loved her but also he thought it was a joke. It made me not trust him or his assurances that he’s a changed man. And Elys’s response? On point. They’re not in love and she doesn’t have to give him a hug. And he jumped ship at the first pretty face that he was more attracted to. Good riddance.
2. Chris letting Dominique and Xanthi down gently
Chris really thought that he needed to give Dominique and Xanthi a heads up because he thought they would be devastated and thought of himself as some grand catch. Point blank. But the confused looks on their faces made it clear that he was not a contender for them. At all. So much so that Xanthi had to get up and walk away because it was so awkward and both of the women converged afterwards about how weird the moment was. It felt staged by him and I think they could tell.
3. Dominique and Bryton and the engineering comment
In a span of a couple minutes we got to see a microcosm of what it is to be a woman in today’s world. Here was Dominique with an actual technique on how they could win this game. And all Bryton did was talk over her and not even consider what she was saying for even a second. And then when he asked her about her college degree, you could see it on Dominique’s face. She knew she was with a fool. Because her degree is in engineering and if there’s anyone that’s going to know how to move this box that they were in across to the finish line, it’s going to be her. And then she stayed with him when he made her cry afterwards. Like I said, microcosm of what it is to be a woman today with manipulative and gaslighting men like Bryton.

4. Bryton’s yoga comments and the editing of Dominique excusing his behavior
I know we just did one moment with these two in the previous selection. But Dominique and Bryton were red flags from their very first night and they should have called it quits then. The yoga conversation really felt like he was taking every opportunity to make fun of her and downplay what she did as not valid. I personally don’t really like yoga but I have seen those people twist themselves into poses that I could never do. So I would really like Bryton to try himself and see if it’s exercise. And in a messy bit of editing, they took comments that Dominique made about him being “the best” and interspersed it with his condescending yoga comments. You know what you did Netflix production team.
5. Izzy and his stalkerish Instagram behavior moment with Micah
There was no need for the Netflix team to step in and make the interactions between Micah and Izzy awkward. Because Izzy did that himself. I understand following people’s lives on social media. It happens. And that’s especially true if you yourself are on a reality TV series because these are the only people that understand what it’s like to be on reality TV. But Izzy had absolutely zero game and his intense stare when he told Micah the things he knew about her, it made me uncomfortable. And I’m not even on the show. I’m sitting here on my couch while they’re in paradise making a fool of themselves.
6. 40 thousand dollars for 30 seconds Harry comment
A self-burn is a truly rare and magical thing. But somehow Harry does it seamlessly. And half the time I don’t know if he’s aware that it’s a self-burn. Or maybe Harry has mastered how to create iconic TV moments and that’s why he said that he would only last 30 seconds and get 40K after having sex with a stranger. I’m pretty sure it’s that because his comments have been weird since his Too Hot to Handle days where he called people “naughty little possums.”

7. Dom and Tolu moment in boardroom
On paper, Don and Tolu seem like a perfect match. But Dom is not doing himself any favors because he wants to be the good guy on paper but also test the waters with a lot of different women. Just be honest with yourself and stop worrying about how you’re going to look on TV. If you want the girl, go for the girl. Commit and stop waiting for women to make the decisions you’re too afraid to make. Because this whole situation between him and Tolu in the boardroom makes me understand why he’s friends with Harry. Both can’t make up their mind.
8. Tolu showing off her muscles
I really needed to take a second to shout out my favorite contestant from Perfect Match. Because Tolu was giving main character energy from the very first moment she walked into the villa to when she showed off her muscles. And I’m the kind of girl that wants someone to pick me up and cradle me in their arms. So as soon as I saw her muscles I really wanted all the guys to just disappear and for the women to swoon and court each other. Because there is a genuine love between these women, most of the time, and all the men were acting like boys.
9. Jessica saying “uncomfy”
Jessica using the word “uncomfy” with Harry gave me the ick. It was giving me flashbacks of Chelsea using her baby voice in arguments or post argument makeup scenes with Jimmy on Love is Blind. It didn’t work then and it’s not going to work now, Jessica. If anything, I’m really starting to understand the kind of woman you are and what you’re looking for as the show progresses. You’re looking for your 15 minutes of fame just like everybody else. And I would respect it even more if you were honest about it. But you’re putting on a show just like Harry is about who you are and it shows.

10. Baywatch intro during game
During one of the compatibility tests, the Netflix production team went ahead and did something funny but not in a malicious way. Most of the time the editing is used to make someone look worse. But after a Baywatch comment made by one of the contestants on the beach, they made a Baywatch kind of intro with them all. It was kind of goofy, but the sweet kind of levity that I wish some of these reality TV shows would give us more of.
