Phoebe Dynevor is going to be in an untitled shark thriller for Sony Pictures. Famously known for her role as Daphne Bridgerton on Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton, Dynevor has taken her hand at diversifying her portfolio post-season 2. She starred in the highly talked about movie Fair Play. And she’s locked into a new spy thriller, thriller about a very close-knit family, and most excitedly (at least for us) a shark movie.
Shark movies have long been a staple of the movie industry. We’ve got classics like Deep Blue Sea and Jaws. There are the ridiculous SyFy channel ones like Sharknado, Ghost Shark, and Sharktopus. And then there Jason Statham coming onto the scene and fighting megalodons in The Meg movies. That’s why we’re so excited when another shark movie enters the scene.
The untitled Sony Pictures film allegedly revolves “around a community that has to deal with shark attacks during a hurricane” according to The Hollywood Reporter. Joining Dynevor is Whitney Peak, who was in the recent Gossip Girl reboot. Tommy Wirkola is set to be the writer and director. He directed Violent Night starring David Harbour. And hopefully he’ll bring that energy to a hurricane shark movie with Daphne Bridgerton herself.
I Think Phoebe Dynevor would be great choice as Jean Grey In MCU X-Men
