There is nothing better than a movie that makes you laugh from beginning to end. Incoming is one of those movies that does that. The movie, which is streaming now on Netflix, is about four freshmen who are faced with the greatest challenge of their young lives: their first high school party.
Do you remember yours?
While we could all exchange stories about our first high school party and some would be great, we’ll pass. Watch Incoming and you will see that these are supposed to be some of the best times of our lives. Whatever happens, we should embrace the joy of being young. We should all embrace just having a good time when we can.
I will be the first to tell you that movies like Incoming aren’t based in reality and we should just enjoy the movie for what it is – an escape from reality. Incoming is a movie that is meant to make you laugh and escape from its beginning to the end. And if you take it for what it is, it’s this generation’s American Pie.
I sat down and spoke with two of the stars of the movie – Isabella Ferreira and Ali Gallo.
If you aren’t familiar with the two, you will be. Both have an amazing career that is just beginning and will last a long time. Isabella starred in Hulu‘s Love, Victor as Pilar Salazar. Ali has had roles on The Sex Lives of College Girls and Bunk’d.
Speaking to both of them, I admit that they threw me off a bit. You never know what to expect with interviews, but these two were amazing. So humble, and joyful, and really want to relate to those out there watching their movies. I was in awe of their poise and their genuine love for the film. It’s not something I always see.
But it is a quality that I love.
Acting may be their passion and their job, but both are just two regular people out to do their best. They accomplished that with Incoming. Mark my words, it’s going to be a movie that 20 years from now, people will still watch and laugh.
I can’t wait for that.
