Things that we never thought we’d say… more Twilight is coming.

We don’t want.

Yes, you read that right. We don’t want.

It was announced yesterday that Midnight Sun — Edward and Bella’s love story told from Edward’s POV — has been picked up for development by Netflix. It’ll be animated and we’ll keep repeating this — no thank you.

Sinead Daly will be adapting the book – writing and executive producing. We know her from Tell Me Lies and since we’re obsessed with that show, we know that she’s going to be fantastic.

The thing is – when it comes to certain things – Twilight being one of them – we have some things that we don’t want. It’s not even about the original cast. We get that Twilight is having a resurgence and we do love it. But when it comes to this, we just think that why are they going to start something that won’t last.

Yes, we have no faith.

“We’re going to go out with the Twilight series, an animated series — I think there’ll be a lot of interest in that,” said Vice Chairman Michael Burns at a media company back in March. We missed that, but here we are.

We know that we may be the only people that don’t want, judging by social media. But we don’t.

We loved the original movie franchise and we were heavily involved and can appreciate that people want this. We just don’t and well we won’t be watching.
