Ready for a mystical trip to Morocco? Lonely Planet arrives at just the right time to bid farewell to summer as we enter full steam into fall. The trailer is here and we are ready to analyze it.
Here we go!
Since it was announced that Liam Hemsworth was going to team up with Laura Dern for this project, we were eager to find out more and the trailer gave us everything we needed.
At Lonely Planet, a reclusive novelist arrives at a prestigious writer’s retreat in Morocco, hoping the remote setting will unlock her writer’s block. While there, she meets a young man — what starts as an acquaintanceship evolves into an intoxicating, life-altering love affair, and the trailer reflects just that.
In the trailer, we see how Katherine tries to find inspiration to finish her book at an author retreat. In reality, she is not there for the group activities, just to be quiet in her room writing, alone. But that solitude is interrupted by Owen, an attractive younger man who is also participating in the author retreat.
Sparks fly between them from the first meeting and Owen takes Katherine not only out of her solitude, but out of her comfort zone and reminds her that life only has flavor if you know how to take advantage of it.
Owen seems like the perfect man… except he is caught. In reality, he is on that retreat because of his girlfriend but we see really soon that their relationship deteriorate minute by minute and as Owen and his girlfriend grow further apart, he and Katherine find themselves closer to each other, falling in love unwittingly, unwillingly, and unexpectedly.
But once it is done, the question is whether they are willing to risk it all for that love or whatever happens in Morocco, will stay in Morocco.
