NBC One Chicago is promoting its return with a new poster. While this would normally have us jumping out of our skin, once again, Chicago P.D. is different in the worst way possible and leaves us with a bad taste in our mouths. Time to find out why. Ready?

The poster is wonderful, amazing, fantastic…but our eyes are drawn directly to the Chicago P.D. frame area. Who is missing there? Absolutely everyone is there except for one person: Kim Burgess. There is not even parity in this photo because it’s all about, you know, men. In fact, there’s a lot of testosterone present
Trudy barely stands out there, in the background. But at least she is there, we can’t say the same about Kim. They can’t even use the excuse that Marina Squerciati couldn’t be there the day they did this, because they could have Photoshopped her in. So yeah, everything they could do wrong, they did wrong.
The new season of Chicago P.D. is going to be a great season for Kim, Burzek is finally getting their big and well-deserved wedding…and they don’t include Kim on the poster, where she is literally the only one missing. Truly, we have no idea what went into this decision. We don’t have anything to say about this. Nothing. Or well, on second thought, we have one thing to say: Kim deserves better.
One Chicago will begin airing on Wednesday, September 25 on NBC.
