Dangerous Situations in High Potential Season 1 Episode 3 ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrel’

Karadec and Morgan had the time to fight and reconnect in High Potential Season 1 Episode 3 ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrel.’ The fight starts at the hotel bar. While Karadec thought he was just going to meet Morgan, she had plans to surprise-catch a killer and things go almost as badly as we expected.
Morgan has good intentions, she just wanted to catch the killer in a way that didn’t give him a chance to escape but Karadec has all the right points in this argument. What Morgan has done is dangerous, Karadec was unarmed, without backup, and unprepared for what was to come. A person who is being cornered can be unpredictable, so the situation is volatile and can turn dangerous and mortal in the blink of an eye.
This guy could have killed Karadec or Morgan herself, and if that had happened, Morgan’s good intentions would have been for nothing; they would both be dead and Morgan’s children would be orphans. So Morgan’s behavior is something that had to be nipped in the bud to prevent what hasn’t happened in High Potential Season 1 Episode 3 ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrel’ from happening at any other time.
As we discussed in the High Potential Season 1 Episode 2 review, if Morgan and Karadec are working together, they must trust each other, blindly, and tell each other everything. They are partners and that means having each other’s backs no matter what.
And we love Morgan but her quitting has felt more like a tantrum than anything else. Karadec’s tone may not have been the best, but the man’s heart was still racing as he realized the danger he was in and also worried about what could have happened to Morgan. He doesn’t want anything to happen to her, and when we’re so worried and upset, we don’t speak in the best way, but that doesn’t stop Karadec from being completely right here.
That’s why we love that Morgan came back, saved the day, and understood what Karadec meant during their fight. Donuts as a peace offering are our new favorite thing, but the best thing about this is that she learned from her mistake. Morgan and Karadec are still adjusting to each other. One step at a time.
Low Blows…

As we teased in the High Potential Season 1 Episode 3 ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrel’ preview, the fight with Karadec isn’t the only conflict Morgan faces in this episode. Ludo allows Ava to stay alone in her room with her boyfriend and that makes Morgan’s mama bear instinct rise. And we think she has a great point here. Ludo shouldn’t have been so permissive regarding this guy and Ava and should have been keeping an eye on them. It’s simply a matter of care and respect.
Also, Morgan’s fear of her history repeating itself is understandable. She got pregnant too soon, too young, and she doesn’t want Ava to have to go through that. Morgan wants her daughter to enjoy all the stages of her life and not have to grow up too fast. Morgan is going to do everything she can to prevent history from repeating itself and she needs the person she entrusts with taking care of her daughter while she’s at work to do the same.
That being said, it’s unfair the way Morgan treats Ludo in High Potential Season 1 Episode 3 ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrel’ and throws it in his face that Ava isn’t his biological daughter. She may not be but Ludo is the only father she’s ever known and he never made a distinction between Elliot and Ava. To Ludo, they’re both his children and he takes care of them, helping Morgan with both whenever she needs it without any obligation, just because he wants to.
So it’s pretty unfair that just because Morgan doesn’t agree with how Ludo has handled things with Ava, she throws such a low and hurtful attack at him. She could have expressed her anger differently. Ludo deserved better. We said what we said.
