Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 4 ‘Through The Skin’ is a Violet Mikami episode, but that doesn’t sound like such a good thing when we consider why it’s a Violet Mikami episode. We love Violet too much to want her to suffer through whatever’s coming in this hour. And we love her too much to see her worrying about her job.
But hey, at least it’s something different than all the pining about Carver she’s doing. Particularly when, for the most part, Carver remains oblivious to what she’s feeling. And worry about her might move that relationship forward, so there’s that. We’ll take even tiny baby steps in that direction.
Plus, this is a procedural. Some drama is expected. And we will say this: we like seeing Violet at the center of an hour. She’s one of the best characters on the show and Hanako Greensmith plays her with such vulnerability and quiet confidence that we’ve fallen in love with her and just want more from her at every moment. All we hope is that her pain is temporary, please, and thank you.
