Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 4 ‘The After’ goes back to examine a case from Voight’s past, and it feels like this is going to be a rough one. This show, more than any other One Chicago show, can sometimes hit you in the feels not just with what’s happening with the characters, but with the real cases. And that’s because …well, it’s a really scary world out there sometimes. We can’t see all the darkness. And sometimes, they decide to show us a glimpse of it.
So, this is one of those episodes that’s about that. And sure, the characters we know play an important role and the way they react to the things that are happening is a window into how we, the audience would react. How we’d want to react. But, that doesn’t mean watching it is every easy, and this one …this one feels hard.
