One movie that we can’t wait for is Gladiator II. We’re definitely excited to see Paul Mescal, but we’re even more excited to see Pedro Pascal in the upcoming film. Pascal plays Marcus Acacius in the upcoming sequel, which takes place several years after the original film.
When speak to Entertainment Tonight, Mescal said that training for the movie was fun. Now, while we all may have different ideas of what fun is – we’re just going to have to smile and respect that Mecal’s idea of fun is completely different than ours.
What did Pascal think of Mescal’s remarks,“Yeah, I bet it was. I bet it was fun for him. Maybe it would’ve been fun for me too, if I was 20 years younger.”

Not going to lie, this made us laugh out loud. But also, we agree. 20 years ago, fun seemed very different.
Pascal went on to say, “I was in no single directive from the movie to get in any kind of shape, but I did. Mainly so that I wouldn’t get hurt, and it didn’t work. I got hurt anyway. I got stronger than I’ve ever been just so that I can play the character, really.”
And then added, “I’m definitely getting to the point where I can’t just wake up and do stuff like that, so I got ready for that. I used to be able to wake up and do that stuff, but things have changed and so I knew I wanted to be able to do those things.”
