If there is one thing that FOUND does extremely well, it is character development. There may be times that I doubt that, I would like to be reminded of the first six episodes of the second season. These episodes have expanded upon each and every character to the point where the viewer is begging for more information and asking themselves, what is everyone hiding?
It is also making me ask, what exactly happened to everyone, because there is a lot of actions that the team at M&A take that I am honestly not sure of their motivation for. Their actions have made me second guess the help that they have gotten in the past and the help that they need in the future.
And I have begun to wonder if everyone on the team has their misgivings about the lies that Gabi has told or if they are just hoping that no one discovers their own secrets.
Every episode of FOUND that I watch, there are a few things that remain consistent for me. The biggest of those things being that I do hope that Gabi and Trent find common ground, and even though I ship them, it is not for that. It is because I believe that Trent and Gabi make each other better people.
And everyone needs that person that is going to drive them to be better.

MARGARET
I will be the first to admit that Margaret is not my favorite character, but it’s mostly because I find her whining way too much. I feel as though Margaret believes that things happen to her, instead of around her. She wants to be a victim in something, but she’s not in everything. Margaret needs to get help and talk to someone. There is no shame in that. We all need help.
Her arrest? Well that would be because she attacked a person in the bus station for taking down Jamies posters. Now, do I want Margaret to experience pain? No. But it has reminded me that part of her anger is a result of what she is feeling because of her sons disappearance. I also do believe that she’s gotta have some feelings because she has effectively abandoned her daughters
She may not remember what she did at the bus station, but it will be her having the restraining order to keep her out the bus station that will destroy her.
Margaret is a good person, but she’s destroyed that her son was taken on her watch. Though I don’t understand her need to return to the bus station daily, I am hoping that this will allow her to continue to get the help that she needs.
Everyone is trying to help Margaret, but she doesn’t see it. She sees her life and how things affect her, but not how her actions affect others. She is so loved, but again, she needs to talk to someone and get help.
It is when Margaret comes face to face with Sir, as he’s broken into M&A, that I am reminded of how strong she is. Margaret may be shaking when she sees him, but I also see this invincible force of a woman that isn’t about to back down. She instead proves to him that she’s not this weak person that he expects her to be.
Even when Sir offers to help her find her son, she turns him down. I think that takes unbelievable strength, because I would have assumed that she would do anything that she could to bring her son home – including making a deal with the devil.
Margaret needs to keep doing that – remembering who she is and what she can do. I hope and pray that she finds that, because Margaret can be a force.

THE CASE
With the title of the episode, I would have assumed that Sir had gotten Gabi. I have to remember though that people have the same name and that sometimes people get things mixed up. I got things mixed up.
Missing while Gabi Mosley explores a case where a missing teenage girl, who just happens to have the same name. The mother assumes that Sir has taken her, because the teenager is fascinated with Gabrielle’s kidnapping.
While the case is important – it’s important for two big reasons in the scheme of everything. The first? Well, it would be that the young Gabi has kidnapped a girl who she thinks is with her boyfriend and it just so happens that Sir has rescued her from the young one. Sir had the girl upload a video proving that he’s the one that saved her.
Do I think that Sir is looking for redemption? No. I do think that he did this to remind Gabi and the team at M&A that he is needed. He needs to be needed and he needs to remind Gabi that he’s not all that bad (even though he is).
I do believe that Sir thinks that showing Gabi that he saved this girl is the way that he thinks he is going to get her to see that he’s always going to be up in her business. I believe that even though he knows that Gabi doesn’t want anything to do with him, he thinks that this will make others doubt her take on him.
It doesn’t matter what Sir does to try and make himself a better person, he’s not a better person. He’s never going to be a good person. Everything is for his own gain and his gain only.
The second part that the case is important… lets dive into Lacey.

THE LACEY OF IT ALL
Before we get to the case and Lacey, we need to talk about all that she’s been going through. She doesn’t remember all of the things that happened when and before she was kidnapped for the second time. She’s staying with Zeke, but she’s not sleeping. Lacey isn’t feeling supported. She’s reliving the same pain that she felt when she was a teenager and was taken.
When Zeke tries to talk to her she doesn’t want to hear it. She wants to be believed. If you are a person who doesn’t want to believe her, then she wants to hear nothing.
I don’t think any of us can blame Lacey or look at her as though she’s lost her mind. She’s fighting for her life, in her own way. It’s got to be this horrible feeling to fight memories that you can’t remember and feelings that you can’t understand.
When teenage Gabi Mosley goes missing, Lacey asks about a press conference, to which she is told no. She believes that Mom, that it is Sir. She believes that she wants to regain control of her own destiny and that means that she’s got no choice but to do what she believes is best.
Lacey puts out on the internet that she’s coming for Sir, that he’s taken someone, and that she’s not going to remain afraid anymore. It’s that going viral that makes everyone worry for her more.
She is struggling. But it’s the case that makes Lacey see that. She sees that she needs help and she’s begging for it. There is a strength in Lacey that we don’t always get to see, but when Gabi offers her M&A when she goes to jail, Lacey admits that she needs help.
Lacey, in my opinion, is one of the most complex characters on this show. She’s gone through so much and she continues to experience pain on a level that no one else can really understand. However, it will not stop her from trying her best to regain control of her life.
I admire that.
I also love that she’s not the only one.

OTHER THOUGHTS
- Dhan not wanting to tell his partner what he did – I get it. I wouldn’t want to either
- Trent seems to be off of his holier than thou thing, which I can admire. But he’s on and off the train all the time, so it’s truly hard for me to understand what he actually wants to do and who he wants to be.
- Gabi would move heaven and earth for Lacey and I do love that about her. She can make mistakes, but Lacey is her life and her family.
- Dhan’s partner is so understanding and I am so appreciative of that for him.
- Lacey wanting to dance in the rain – I get you girl
- Zeke sticking his hand and his foot outside to feel the rain was a big thing and I loved it so much I wanted to cry.
- The ending – I cried.
- Who is Sir working with?

Another solid episode that left me liking all of the members of the team more, even Margaret. I smiled at the ending with Lacey and Gabi standing with Margaret in the rain, outside of the bus station. I hope that scene marks the beginning of healing for each woman individually, and their relationship as a collective.
I liked how the show reinforced the fact that Sir has an accomplice. I think the reveal will be important to the future of the characters and the show. With this in mind, something about Dhan’s boyfriend/husband made my Spidey Senses tingle. Hopefully, it will be revealed that I am being hypersensitive (a good sign that the show has me drawn in completely), but whoever the accomplice is has to be connected to one or more of the characters in order for it to matter enough to be built up the way it is.
I think Trent’s dad is helping Sir.
OMG I didnt think of that
