Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 7 ‘Contrition’ is an episode about Torres and about old mistakes coming back to haunt you. Because we always knew these mistakes would come back to haunt Torres, we just didn’t know when.
And he’s in church too! Talking to a priest. There’s no bigger proof that a Latino is down in the dumps than talking to a priest, especially on TV. That’s a stereotype that TV shows milk for all its worth. We saw Eddie talking to a priest on 9-1-1 just last week! We don’t think Dante’s issues are in any way similar to Eddie’s, but hey the Latino stereotype continues.
In this episode, though, he seems to be bringing Kim into his mess. Which I guess is better than handling his mess alone? But also, Kim has been a detective for 0.2 seconds and now he’s gotta deal with this? Let Voight deal with it or something!
