Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 8 ‘Quicksand’ looks like a quiet episode. Operative word being looks like. We should never trust that any episode of Chicago Fire cannot take a turn that they’re keeping from us in all the pre-episode material, and we especially shouldn’t trust that it’s not going to be the case during the midseason finale. In fact, we’d kind of be shocked if nothing surprising happens in this hour, particularly considering we’ll be without new episodes of the show until 2025.
For now, it looks like ‘Quicksand’ will give Cruz a good storyline, something very much overdue and that it will give us more on Lizzie Novak, our favorite new paramedic. Hopefully, we’ll also get to deal with the mess Carver keeps making of his life and how that affects his relationship with Violet. We’re getting a little tired of waiting for the two of them to at least have a conversation.
And, let us just hope the show doesn’t leave us on a literal cliffhanger going into next year.
