We’ve made waiting to hear more about the One Tree Hill reboot a major part of our personality. What can we say, we’re One Tree Hill fans for life.
As more and more time passes since the announcement, we have to admit that we want to hear more of who from the original series may possibly be involved. As members of the original cast are doing press, they are being asked if they would take part in the reboot.
Actor and singer Jana Kramer was asked recently about the possibility of being part of the reboot. She played Alex Dupre on the series.
“I talked to Sophia about it,” she told E! News.
“They’re gonna get their footing of the show but I think they’re open to bringing back characters,” Kramer continued, “So, I hope I get the opportunity, it sounds like there’s a window for that. I’m ready if it comes calling.”
“For me, I love watching rebooted shows and then seeing old characters come back,” she noted. “I wanna know where they’re at, what they’ve been up to. So, I hope I get the opportunity, it sounds like there’s a window for that. I’m ready if it comes calling.”
Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush are set to reprise their roles at Peyton Sawyer and Brooke Davis. The show is being written by Becky Hartman Edwards and she will executive produce. Warner Bros. TV is also working on the reboot. Jensen Ackles and Danneel Ackles also executive produce through their Chaos Machine banner.
We just don’t want to see Mark Schwan working on the project or earning a dollar from it, but all reports say that he won’t be.
The reboot is said to focus on Brooke and Peyton who are now parents to teens. They are facing challenges such as “love, insecurities and grief.”
If you aren’t familiar with the original series – you need to do yourself a favor and watch it immediately. It focused on two half brothers, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty). It was about the way that they navigated their lives through highschool and beyond. It’s a coming of age story that helped everyone who watched it navigate their lives.
The show was anchored by its supporting cast, Burton, Bush, Bethany Joy Lenz, Austin Nichols, Jana Kramer, Stephen Colletti, Antwon Tanner and Paul Johansson.
The chances of One Tree Hill coming back means everything to its fans. This one included.
