The Fanning sisters are everywhere. Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning have grown up in Hollywood – their whole lives making the tabloids. We don’t know how they handle it, but they do. The two superstars just keep moving forward, no matter what challenges come their way.
We love that the two are busy with their various projects, but also are developing and producing projects. One of those projects is a developing Paris: A Memoir. The two optioned the book that is all about Paris Hiltons life. We’ve read the book and find it to be very interesting.
After reading the book, we can admit that we under estimated Paris. She’s definitely worked hard for everything she has and we can respect that.
On the books description, Paris wrote, “I wrote this book in an effort to understand my place in a watershed moment: the technology renaissance, the age of influencers. I also wrote this book so that the world could know who I am today. I focused on key aspects of my life that led to what I am most proud of–how my power was taken away from me and how I took it back, how I built a thriving business, a marriage and a family.”
She also added, “There are so many young women who need to hear this story. I don’t want them to learn from my mistakes; I want them to stop hating themselves for their own mistakes. I want them to laugh and cry and embrace every aspect of who they are with fearlessness and pride. We all have our own brand of intelligence, and, girl, f**k fitting in.”
We know that a lot of people will be rolling their eyes at us saying that you should read the memoir, but you should.
With the Fanning sisters producing the book adaptation, people want to know which one of them is starring as Paris Hilton.
While at The Wrap’s 2024 Power Women Summit the two were asked about the adaptation and which one of them would be the one to portray Paris.
“We haven’t figured that out yet!” Elle said.
Dakota added, “We’re in development!”
“I think it’ll be really dependent on what makes sense for the story and what stage in her life.” added producer Brittany Kahan Ward.
We have to admit that we can’t see either of them as Paris, but that’s why we’re not casting directors. We’re just writing about it.
When Dakota went on to talk about the book and why they optioned it, we understood why. She said, “Talk about subverting people’s expectations. I think Paris is such an amazing example of that. With her story that she’s now been telling and the behind the scenes of what she was going through. Her childhood traumas, the things she went through as a teen, and also just being kind of the first influencer in L.A. in the early 2000s and the trials and tribulations of that.”
We’re definitely going to read the book. Have you read it? Which Fanning sister do you think would be great as Paris?
