If you are like us, you’ve been waiting for any information for when Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will return. It’s been a beat since the first nine episodes aired and we know that there is a lot more to come.
Luckily more information is out and we now know that the show will return in January. January 17th to be exact.
On the 17th, episode 10, “Potions Eleven,” will premiere on the Disney Channel, followed immediately by another new episode. After that, new episodes will premiere every Friday for the rest of the season.
The sequel picked up, “after a mysterious incident at WizTech, where an adult Justin Russo has left his wizard powers behind, opting for a normal, human life with his wife (Gianopulos) and two sons (one of whom will be played by Thiele). But he gets a surprise when a powerful young wizard (Brown) in need of training shows up at his door… and Justin must embrace his past to ensure the future of the Wizard World.”
David Henrie is joined by Janice LeAnn Brown, Taylor Cora, Alkaio Thiele, and Mimi Gianopulos.
In addition to Elinoff and Thomas – Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Gary Marsh, and Andy Fickman will be EP’s on the project.
The original series aired on the Disney Channel for four seasons between 2007 and 2012 and also sparked the Disney Channel original movie Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie.
