Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 9 ‘Friends and Family’ picks up after what wasn’t really a cliffhanger for this show, but in a way, it was. We don’t know how long it’s been since this unit has been playing this new game with the Chief, but the midseason premiere will apparently focus on the newest member of Intelligence, Kiana Cook, as she looks to figure out where she stands and probably, where they all stand amid the mess they’re all in thanks to what happened.
It’s just a bit ironic that, more than a decade in, what Dante did has somehow gotten them in way more trouble than everything Voight has ever done considering what Dante did was truly a drop in the bucket of what Voight has done, but I guess that’s neither here nor there. Life has never been fair, so I guess there’s some poetic justice in TV not being fair either. Let’s see how the show deals with that.
