Did anyone call for our five favorite Peter and Rose ship moments from season one of Netflix’s action drama The Night Agent so you’re prepared to swoon over them as an established couple going into season two? Well, it’s a good thing you don’t need a top secret number to call us to find out. Here are our favorite Peter & Rose moments from season one of The Night Agent!
1. Love At First Call

Peter and Rose’s first scene together was anything but a meet-cute. They meet during Rose’s scariest moment of her life. Peter’s voice quickly becomes the life raft keeping Rose afloat as she fears for her life while running from a masked strange man who wanted her dead after attacking her aunt and uncle in their home.
Peter guides Rose to a neighbor’s vacant home to hide as he calls the police. He doesn’t hesitate in being the person to ground Rose in the present. He tells her that she wouldn’t be alone. He’d be her number one cheerleader in rooting for her to fight like hell to survive a possible attack.
It was such an instant display of trust on Rose’s behalf to rely on Peter’s effort to help save her life, that it left us speechless.

2. Rose Hugs Peter For The First Time

There’s nothing like a bodyguard with walls built around their heart being shown affection for the first time from the person he’s sworn to protect and keep at arm’s length. There’s a buzz you get from watching their emotions peaking through tough exteriors. When Peter and Rose part ways for the first time as Peter’s obligated to go back to work, she gives him a warm and full embrace. Her show of affection comes as a surprise to him. And it’s a moment where Peter’s walls begin coming down..
Rose is now present in his mind, if mailing her books to read and letting himself be the last person she hears over the phone before she goes to sleep, is any indication. At this point we were beginning to see how Rose was inching her way past the cracks of his guarded heart.
3. Peter Saves Rose In A Brawl

Chaos ensued between Rose and Dale on a lakeshore after he intercepted her upcoming meeting with Peter. Rose was faced with the possibility of actually having to kill someone for the first time. As she’s getting choked out by the man that killed her family, Peter erupts onto the scene. He tackles Dale off of her. We’re reminded again that he is always there to save her. To protect her.
Rose returns the favor by knocking Dale over the head with a log to stop his attack on Peter. It takes a dual effort to kill Dale. And in that moment, we saw Peter take on sharing the burden of killing someone with Rose. He wouldn’t let her carry this on her conscience alone. In the end, we knew one thing for sure – a couple that stays together is one that fights together.
4. Their First Kiss

You could argue that there’s nothing more romantic than having a first kiss with someone on a boat in normal circumstances of life. But I’d like to raise the bar and say there’s an added heat to the moment when you’re both considered enemies of the state and evil to everyone else but the other person. Peter and Rose were hiding from prying government eyes on his uncle’s boat when their world finally falls apart around them.
In a sweet recall to their first conversation, Rose encourages Peter to keep fighting to clear his name to the public. After everything they’d been through together, it made no sense in Rose’s mind to abandon Peter at his lowest when the government is spewing lies about him to cover their corruption. She’d stand with him to bear the storm of what was coming. It’s a sentiment that caused Peter to finally cave into his feelings for Rose and kiss her – an act she happily reciprocated.
5. When Peter Saves The Day

There might’ve been a bomb on the President’s plane but we were the ones feeling like we’d explode in anticipation over a final stand-off between Peter and the President’s Secret Service as he tries desperately to warn her of the danger awaiting her. Peter was on his last leg of mustering strength to tackle the President right when the bomb exploded just feet away from them.
He saved the day and we were left exhaling that breath we hadn’t realized we’d been holding for a good ten minutes straight. While on the ground with ears ringing, dirt and blood caked on his face, utter exhaustion written all over him, Peter gets to finally rest his head against Rose’s shoulder in a much needed embrace. They’ve grown to be each other’s safe spaces. There’s no more running. No more hiding. They’ve become the heroes.
Peter and Rose get to enjoy a true moment of peace in each other’s arms.
Temporarily, that is.
