Here we go!
Mayor of Kingstown has captivated audiences with its raw and realistic take on the prison system and corruption in the United States. The series, created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, follows the McLusky family in Kingstown, Michigan, a city where the prison industry is the central axis of the economy and power.
According to Deadline, Edie Falco — who we’ve already seen in The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie— will play Nina Hobbs, the new warden of Anchor Bay prison and will be a series regular. Her character promises to bring a new dynamic to the complex power structure that governs Kingstown.
On the other hand, Lennie James, known for his participation in The Walking Dead, will take on the role of Frank Moses, an influential gangster with a legendary reputation in Detroit and other cities. His presence will surely bring challenges and changes to the already tense power relationship within the story, as the character is set up as a season-long arc.
Finally, Laura Benanti will play Cindy Stephens, a new corrections officer in Kingstown, whose role could influence the development of conflicts inside and outside the prison. She is set up as a series regular.
The confirmation of Mayor of Kingstown season 4 comes after the huge success of the third installment, which became one of the most watched shows on Paramount+. With the plot exploring themes such as corruption, systemic racism and the fight for justice, the series has managed to establish itself as one of the most intense and realistic productions of the moment. The premiere date for the new season hasn’t yet been announced, but with the addition of these new characters, we are looking forward to seeing what is coming!
