We’re back! High Potential Season 1 Episode 13 ‘Let’s Play’ closes the season with a suspect who likes games and with very significant moments that cement the future of Morgan and Karadec. Ready?
Here we go!
Question of Trust

Morgan and Karadec are the focus of High Potential Season 1 Episode 13 ‘Let’s Play’ and we love it! Karadec worries a lot about her when he knows she has dealings with Gio because he is a criminal and is not trustworthy. Karadec knows that Morgan loses focus when it comes to someone he cares about, so he knows that she will do everything possible to get to the truth about Roman…even trusting who she shouldn’t. Although Morgan assures him that he will not trust Gio, Karadec is still worried, so he promises himself that he will have Morgan’s back, no matter what. And that is just what he does.
It’s amazing how much intrinsic trust there is between them. For example, in a parallel from the previous episode, when Karadec asks Morgan about her father, she doesn’t want to talk about it, but she doesn’t take long to open up to him. To trust him with something so intimate and so traumatic from her past. Morgan doesn’t hesitate to make herself vulnerable in front of Karadec because she knows that he will support her. Later, at the gala, Karadec gasps when he sees her. She seems like a vision. But it’s not, it’s real.
In this moment of High Potential Season 1 Episode 13 ‘Let’s Play’ we see Karadec for the first time relaxed, smiling, enjoying Morgan’s company, emotionally open, letting himself be carried away by what he feels, by what he wants to do, almost as if Morgan had cast a spell on him by showing up in that dress. That’s the reason why he asks her to dance and can’t help but remember the beginning of their partnership. It was a long journey to get to that moment, to accept her, to accept what he was starting to feel for her… Morgan changed him and revolutionized his whole life. And he loves that.
And now Karadec can’t help but continue to worry about her, he begs her to let him take care of Gio. He knows that this is important to her so it is to him. He just needs her to let him handle it, to trust him. And so he asks her, almost whispering, almost pleading, looking into her eyes, so close to her that if he moves his hand a little he could caress her face… and Morgan hesitates. She trusts Karadec with her life but she doesn’t want to be left out, she can’t. Gio doesn’t deal with police and it’s been so many years of not knowing, of not having control, that it’s hard for her to give that control up when for the first time she feels that she has it.
Finally, Morgan does what she feels is best in High Potential Season 1 Episode 13 ‘Let’s Play’ and trusts Karadec to take care of everything. He promises her that he will and just when it looks like Karadec is going to say something more, that this dance could turn into something more, Tom shows up and Karadec shuts down again and emotionally distances himself from Morgan and, feeling jealous, lets her walk away from his arms…
