Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series takes baseball fans behind the scenes as the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees pursue a World Series Championship. Apple TV+ announced this all-access, three-part documentary series in October 2024. It’s official: Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series, directed by R.J. Cutler, will debut on Friday, March 28, on the streamer.
The docuseries “weaves together the milestones, high stakes, and gripping storylines that shaped each team’s quest for the championship, told through the perspectives of players, coaches, fans, journalists, and those closest to the action,” per its description. Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series promises unprecedented access to baseball stars like Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, and Aaron Judge. The new trailer shows Judge and Shohei Ohtani’s star power and the pressure Freeman faces.
This docuseries will cover everything from the history-making opener to Ohtani’s injury in Game 2. The latter was a significant blow to the Dodgers and the Yankees turning to Judge for a spark. Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series will bring fans inside the moment when hometown hero Anthony Volpe raises Game 5’s stakes. This docuseries plans to pull off an immersive viewing experience. It will do so with special access to superstar players, managers, and their families, which the trailer teases.

Friday Night Baseball Is Back on Apple TV+
Additionally, Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series premieres when Apple TV+ continues its coverage of Friday Night Baseball. Coverage begins at 6:30/5:30c with All-Star Adley and the Baltimore Orioles host Silver Slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and division rivals the Toronto Blue Jays. Superstar Juan Soto and the New York Mets will take on Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros in the second game of the opening doubleheader. That game’s coverage begins at 7:30/6:30c.
For the third straight season, broadcast teams Wayne Randazzo (play-by-play), Dontrelle Willis (analyst), Heidi Watney (sideline reporter), Alex Faust (play-by-play), Ryan Spilborghs (analyst), and Tricia Whitaker (sideline reporter) will call Friday Night Baseball games. Lauren Gardner, Russell Dorsey, and Xavier Scruggs return to host live pre-and postgame coverage in-studio and on the field. Additionally, Siera Santos will host select pregame shows, and Rich Waltz will call select games.
