Season 2 of Netflix’s FUBAR is set to release soon and we finally have the trailer to see what’s in store! This spy action comedy is about a group of CIA agents tackling cases led by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Luke Brunner. Season 1 aired in 2023 and began with Brunner being pulled from pending retirement plans to track down one last suspect. A supposed threat who happened to be his own daughter, Emma Brunner, played by Monica Barbaro.
Luke and Emma, who have always had an unsteady relationship, discover they’ve been keeping the same secret of working for the CIA from each other for years. They eventually began working together with Luke’s operative team to track and take down the real threat of Gabriel Luna’s Boro Polonia. The father-daughter dynamic between the Brunners is what made the show endearing upon first watching as they reconciled.
Now in protective custody, Luke and Emma are trying to navigate their team’s aspiration to continue their jobs while having to all live under the same roof. Having about ten people in one household? Talk about lacking personal space and privacy.
Things promise to turn even messier when Luke comes back into contact with his ex-lover Greta Nelson (Carrie Anne Moss). A viciously seductive woman who has turned into an international spy working for all the wrong reasons. Barbaro’s Emma will simultaneously form an instant connection with the charming apprentice working under Nelson named Theodore Chips (Guy Burnet). It’ll be interesting to watch Luke and Emma battle the intense pull they feel toward their enemies who plan to destroy the world in FUBAR Season 2.
