We’re one step closer to Stranger Things Season 5. At Netflix Tudum 2025, a fan celebration for everything and anything Netflix, the streaming network finally confirmed when Season 5 of one of their most watched TV series will premiere.
Surrounded by about 17,000 people at the Kia Forum in California, U.S.A., they had cast members appear on stage for the announcement. We had Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, and Caleb McLaughlin. And they helped reveal that Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1 will be premiering on November 26 and Part 2 will be Christmas. And the finale? Well it’ll be New Years Eve. And not at the usual release time for Netflix. Instead, all three will be released at 5PM PT.
MORE: Here’s everything we know so far about Stranger Things Season 5!
Stranger Things Season 5 has been the most anticipated Season not just because it’s the final season. It’s been highly anticipated because Season 4 finished in a shocking low with Max in a coma, lost after losing to Vecna, and the Upside Down leaking into Hawkins, Indiana. And facing it all? Eleven.
Over the past year of so there have been plenty of clues as to what we should expect in the final season. We had the Stranger Things on Broadway play that tells the story of Henry Creel aka Vecna. (Which, we reviewed Stranger Things on Broadway here.) That painted a more sympathetic picture of Henry while making it crystal clear that the Upside Down saw the darkness he had inside and latched onto it.
And just yesterday the Stranger Things Updates account published an audio teasing what’s to come for Season 5. Now, any random channel on X (formerly known as Twitter) I wouldn’t trust. But fan accounts of this size, they do it more for the love of the show than anything. And studios have been reaching out to connect with accounts like this to get their promo out. So it could be legit.
In the mysterious audio you hear a radio changing channels. It’s similar to Eleven changing channels on the walkie in Season 1. But it’s also similar to the radio Creel used when he was changing channels, as if also looking for something. As if that wasn’t creepy enough, a banging starts in the audio. Is something trying to get in? Or is something coming?
