Ice T celebrated National Iced Tea Day in style.
The Grammy-award winning rapper and star of Law & Order: SVU surprised fans at Raising Cane’s flagship restaurant in Times Square. He was partnering up with the fast-food chain to serve up “The Official Iced Tea of Ice T” to fans. He’s previously partnered with the brand in 2022 and 2024 for National Iced Tea Day.
Known for his career in hip-hop and rap, he quickly launched him into stardom in the early 90s across music, film, and television. Widely credited as the pioneer of “gangsta rap,” Ice’s early music in the 80s and 90s gave voice to the realities of street life.

In 2025 he’s best known for starring in Law & Order: SVU as Fin Tutuola. And Ice T officially earned the title of Longest-Running Male Actor in a Primetime Series – an honorable achievement and title, second only to that of Raising Cane’s Fry Cook & Cashier. When talking to press about his career, he told about how young people get confused when they find out he does music. “Right now, if you told kids I’m a rapper, they get confused. I met a young girl who said she’s been watching me her whole life, but was surprised to know I do music.”
He even commented on his own kid who commented on how “our kids don’t care that we were in a movie” and said, “My daughter wants to meet a lot of people, but I don’t have any ‘ins’ in her world. We took her to see Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter and Billie Eilish.”
As for Law & Order: SVU co-star Mariska Hargitay, he revealed that he’s going to the premiere of her new movie My Mom Jayne. “I’m going to see the premiere of Mariska’s movie My Mom Jayne, on Friday night. I know a little bit about it and I heard she did really well,” said Ice T. “She wanted to make her own mark and she’s really embracing it.”
My Mom Jayne explores the life and legacy of Hargitay’s mother, Hollywood icon Jayne Mansfield.
