Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 is about to hit spacedock! The latest season of the series will premiere on July 17, 2025, and we’ve gotten some interesting teasers to hold us over for the next month or so. Let’s take a look at what we know so far about Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3.

We Have Titles!
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds genre-hops frequently. If I have to guess, just going off the titles, we are in for a bit of that in season 3. Obviously, our opener is the second part of the season two finale, “Hegemony.” However, we’ve got a few others that have caught my attention. Season 3 episode 4 is “The Space Adventure Hour,” which I can only imagine is the Star Trek spoof we saw in the original teaser trailer. The other title I’d feel safe in identifying is season 3 episode 8, “Four-and-a-Half Vulcans.” This has to be the teaser clip we got way back in July 2024. Need a refresher? Here’s the clip.
However, the rest of these titles are a bit elusive. Season 3 episode 6, “The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail,” implies another Vulcan story. Will we finally get some hint of Sybok, who was teased all the way back in season 1 episode 7, “The Serene Squall”? Maybe? Gosh, I hope so. The best guess I have for the rest of these titles is season 3 episode 9, “Terrarium.” That’s got to be a Gorn episode. Do you have speculation on any of these titles? Leave a comment with your theories!

We Have New Posters!
Over the weekend, we got some great new teaser posters for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3. Take a good look at our poster pairs and tell me what you think.

The design of these posters is fascinating. It’s giving classic sci-fi poster vibes, which of course, appeals to my own personal aesthetic. But what I think is more interesting about these posters is not what is in the foreground, but what is in the background. Take a look at the poster with Scotty and Pelia, for example.
It looks like something just pulled that PADD right out of Scotty’s hand, and that something is maybe a zombie. Hands are popping up out of the ground in front of them, but there also appear to be loads of what I assume to be zombies behind them. I didn’t have zombies on my bingo card for season 3 of Strange New Worlds, but here we are. Spock and Chapel are surrounded by strange new plants. La’an and Dr. M’Benga are standing in front of a downed Starfleet officer in what looks like a vaguely Blade Runner-ish scenario. Uhura and Ortegas are surrounded by odd jellyfish-looking creatures. Are these just interesting backgrounds, or should we look for these in this season? Sound off in the comments with your speculations for season 3!

We Have a New Trailer!
The latest trailer for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 is an interesting one. We get a little deeper into the details compared with the teaser we got in April. Brother Ortegas, or Brortegas, if you will, is on the Enterprise. Is he visiting? Is he joining the crew? We’ll have to wait and find out. Either way, he seems pretty into Uhura, and it looks like the feeling is mutual.
Kirk looks like he’s about to take the Captain’s chair for the first time, Pike says something about an invasion (probably safe to assume Gorn), and of course, the ancient ritual persists into the 23rd century of “Up high, down low, too slow,” even among the Vulcans. These are just a few of the highlights I noticed. Take another look at the trailer to see if you spot anything new.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has taken big swings in the past, and I feel confident that season 3 will be no different. What are you looking for this season? Did anything else stand out to you not mentioned here? Leave me a comment and let’s talk Trek.
