According to Deadline, Shameless alum Steve Howey is joining the cast as a new series regular. And series lead Kaitlin Olson is getting a well-deserved promotion—from producer to executive producer! High Potential became one of the most buzzed-about new shows of the 2024-25 season, thanks to its perfect blend of murder, mayhem, and heart. Olson plays Morgan, a brilliant single mom with an uncanny talent for solving crimes, even if her methods are more chaotic than conventional. Paired with Daniel Sunjata’s by-the-book detective, the result is chemistry, conflict, and a whole lot of compelling TV.

Howey joins an already stellar ensemble that includes Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, and Judy Reyes as Selena. And let’s not forget Amirah J and Matthew Lamb as Morgan’s kids, Ava and Elliot, who bring so much warmth and heart to every episode.
