We know that it’s only July, but it is CHRISTMAS IN JULY and therefore we feel like we have every reason to talk about the holiday. After all, with Christmas at Sea airing on The Hallmark Channel, there are a lot of reasons why Christmas should be front and center in ones mind.
Christmas at Sea is Hallmarks docuseries that is all about their cruise last year. It follows some of Hallmarks biggest fans on the cruise – as they search out having the best time ever, but also meeting the stars they love and making their dreams come true.
And Hallmark has some of their best on this cruise. We’d like to put in a formal complaint though – B.J. Britt and his bag/bucket of never ending gummy bears should have been there too.
Christmas at Sea features appearances from Hallmark Stars Benjamin Ayres, Jonathan Bennett, Wes Brown, Erin Cahill, Paul Campbell, Taylor Cole, Nikki DeLoach, Sarah Drew, Tyler Hynes, Kimberley Sustad and Andrew Walker. Knowing that all of them are willing to give their time and energy – I truly believe that there is a lot of hope (not to mention) joy that will happen on this cruise.
It’s the fans and the stars that make the show one to watch. And why did we enjoy it? Well you can read that over on our review, but here – we’re talking our three favorite moments from episode one – Merry Cruise-mas!

EMBARKMENT
One of the funnest things about going on a cruise is getting on the ship. Walking on to the boat is like walking into another world – one that gives you an escape from reality. Whatever happens on the ship stays on the ship – it’s like Vegas in that way.
We loved watching everyone get on the boat and being introduced to all of the people that Hallmark would be highlighting. Getting to know their stories, why they were there, and what Hallmark meant to them was something that we enjoyed watching.
Peoples surprises with how small rooms were, seeing Christmas everywhere, and the random run ins with Hallmark stars… it was a bunch of moments that you couldn’t help but smile through.

JONATHAN BENNETT EVERYWHERE
We think that it is impossible to be sad or bothered by anything when you see Jonathan Bennett’s smiling face. The way that he just radiates joy makes you feel joy. There is just something so special about Jonathan Bennett and you’re reminded of that really quickly in this episode.
When Hallmark fans are embarking, he’s right there taking pics with them and welcoming them. At the sail-a-bration he’s right there hosting the night and his love of being there and his joy of celebrating the season radiates. You will not be able to stop yourself from smiling when he introduces all of his friends.
Jonathan Bennett playing wingman for Kerry and rolling up Wes Browns sleeve made me LOL. Him telling Paige that he’ll give Tyler Hynes her number. I died. Both of these moments were just so sweet and also the way Bennett did it made these women felt seen – I loved it.

ERIN CAHILLS GENUINE HEART
Now, I have to say that I have interacted with Erin Cahill before – via zoom – and she’s got the absolute best heart. She’ll talk to you about anything and she’ll be so sweet about it.
Seeing her with Rob and Donna and making genuine conversation to get to know them was something that I loved. I loved her asking questions and them getting to ask her questions. I just love the moments that someone meets someone that they love and admire.
Cahill is a gem and she knows that Hallmark fans are loyal. She’s in turn loyal to them.

HONORARY MENTIONS
- The gym and Paul and Andrew offering to help Rob with the wedding. Though I kept wondering what Pauls tattoo said, I was smiling when Paul and Andrew offered to help and put together a wedding
- The pregnancy reveal. That was sweet and there is nothing better than being an auntie. So finding out that you’ll be one again… I smiled for her.
- Benjamin Ayres curls will always deserve an honorary mention.
- Tyler Hynes may have arrived in a robe, but he put on his matching shirt and went to his boot shot tradition ready to have a good time with his fans. I mean you know he meant business – the toothpick came out of his mouth and all.
Christmas at Sea airs Mondays on the Hallmark Channel.
