Ok, CBS, you did something good here, and you know that we don’t always say that. While we’re still on the fence if we’ll be reviewing this fall, we do have our interest piqued with all of the things going on with the Blue Bloods spin-off – Boston Blue.
The network announced that Blue Bloods star Bridget Moynahan, who played Erin Reagan on the show, will be making an appearance in the pilot episode. In addition to making an appearance, she will also direct an episode this season.
Boston Blue star Donnie Wahlberg took to Instagram and said, “Reunited and it feels so good! So excited to have my dear friend, and TV sister @bridgetmoynahan, join me for a special guest appearance in the premiere episode of #BostonBlue! She’ll also be bringing her incredible directing talents to the show this season! More fun (and surprises) to come. 👀 Let’s go! 💙❤️”
In Boston Blue, we’re following Danny Reagan as he moves from the NYPD to the Boston Police Department. Sean Reagan has also moved to Boston, with his character description reading, “Sean committed himself to pursuing his family’s legacy but wanted to do so on his own terms, which meant joining a department outside of his hometown. Danny’s decision to stay in Boston gives this father and son duo a chance to reconnect on a deeper level.”
The Boston Blue cast consists of Donnie Wahlberg, Mika Amonsen, Sonequa Martin-Green, Gloria Reuben, Ernie Hudson, Maggie Lawson, and Marcus Scribner.
