Tiva is coming back. So is Tali. We’re getting more adventures. Probably more romance. And a chance to see the three as a family, something we never got before. But we also didn’t really get to see Tony and Ziva as a couple. In fact, there’s so much NCIS didn’t give us that we want. That we deserve. But to get there, there is some stuff we have to know ahead of time.
It has, after all, been a long time since we have seen the two together on screen. And a lot has happened to the two of them off-screen, so there’s a lot that needs to be recapped. But what’s essential? We put together some visual reminders of what you need to know about the two of them. Here’s what happened to Tony and Ziva since the last time they saw each other.
Or, you know, here’s the things that happened since a lot of you stopped watching. Which, I mean, no judgment here. I stopped watching too. Then I came back, but that’s neither here nor there.

First, there’s Tony finding out about Tali and about Ziva’s “death.” Which doubles as us finding out about Tali.
Tony then leaves NCIS.
But, shocker of shockers (not!). Ziva is not dead.
There are hints that the promised Tiva reunion is coming, even if off-screen at basically every moment we get of Ziva on NCIS during season 17.
Finally, in NCIS 17×11 “In the Wind,” Ziva goes off to Paris to reunite with Tony and Tali. And yes, I’m giving you the episode because the scene is nowhere to be found online. But here’s a nice little fanvid. I suggest you go watch the episode, though. The whole of it. Not a second wasted for a Tiva fan, trust me.
