2026 is right around the corner and one reason that we’re excited is that the next movie in the next movie in The Hunger Games franchise, Sunrise on the Reaping. The movie has established it’s cast, but we have to wonder – will anyone from the other movies guest star?
Josh Hutcherson was recently interviewed by Brit + Co and was asked about the potential of him making an appearance in the movie.
“That’d be cool,” said Hutcherson when asked about returning and the rumor of his casting, “No, I know nothing in that world right now.”
“Hunger Games is amazing, and I’ve loved it for many years and I will love it forever,” he said when speaking with journalist Chloe Williams of Brit + Co.

The cast for Sunrise on the Reaping is stack. It includes Joseph Zada as Haymitch, Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove Baird, Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket, Ralph Fiennes as President Snow, Glenn Close as Drusilla Sickle, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, McKenna Grace as Maysilee Donner, Billy Porter as Magno Stift, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, Maya Hawke as Wiress, Lili Taylor as Mags, and many more.
Sunrise on the Reaping, is in great hands as it will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who knows the franchise better than most anyone. It is set for release on November 20, 2026.
