Old Disney movies are timeless. Sometimes they are corny, but it is that corniness that makes us want to watch them. Nostalgia reigns supreme. There is Zenon, which is so bad that it’s good, and then there is the Camp Rock franchise. There is nothing better than the Camp Rock franchise.
Recently, Lovato joined the Jonas Bros on stage on Sunday, Aug. 10. Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas kicked off their “Jonas20” tour at their hometown stadium. They all reminded us of Camp Rock as they sang a mashup of “This Is Me” and “Gotta Find You” from the Camp Rock movies.
Lovato and Jonas also sang “Wouldn’t Change A Thing. In the Camp Rock movies, their characters were dating.
It sparked nostalgia that any fan of Camp Rock felt. There have been rumors for quite some time that there may be a third movie in the franchise, and Demi reuniting with the JoBros to perform put the rumors into overdrive.
And then, the Jonas Brothers have been doing press to support their tour and were on “Hot Ones Versus” battle on First We Feast. This always gets interesting. Joe got a question asking what the last entry was on his notes app, and he was really blunt about it.
It stopped us dead in our tracks.
“Read Camp Rock 3,” he spilled, adding, “It’s the truth. Sorry, Disney!”
It is rumored that the third installment of the Camp Rock Franchise will start filming this September, with High School Musical: The Musical: The Series creator Tim Federle directing.
Do we know if it’s true? No. But we’ll gladly take a Camp Rock 3. Your move, Disney.
