When you say the names Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding, we instantly think those are some amazing actors that we LOVE. Second, we think that seeing them all in a movie together feels like a dream casting. It turns out that dreams do come true.
The four – Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding are set to star in Close Personal Friends for Amazon MGM. Isaac Aptaker penned the script, with Jason Orley (who will also be directing the project).
As per usual these days, details are being kept under wraps. While we admire the commitment to a surprise for all of us who will watch, we’re so curious. Praying that it is a rom-com, because that vibe is what we’re watching a lot of these days.
The stars of Close Personal Friends have been busy working on other projects. Collins has been working on Emily In Paris for Netflix, and had made her debut on the stage in the West End production of Bess Wohl’s Barcelona. Collins recently became a Mom, and we love that for her.
Larson shone in Apple TV+’s Lessons in Chemistry, for which she earned several award nominations. Earning an Emmy, SAG, Critics’ Choice, and Golden Globe nominations is a big deal. From Fast X to Kong: Skull Island, The Glass Castle to Captain Marvel, Larson is a talented actress who seems to be cautious with her roles. However, when she takes on a role, she does it effortlessly and wows you with her talent.
Quaid has been working on The Boys for Prime Video and has been showcasing his range in such movies as Companion, Novocaine, and Heads of State.
We’ve long crushed on Golding, who most recently starred in Nine Perfect Strangers, Another Simple Favor, and Old Guard 2. We were introduced to him in Crazy Rich Asians, and being as we’ve watched that a lot, you know we love him.
We’ll be waiting for more information on this movie. It seems like it will be a good one.
