Whether we like it or not, summer is coming to an end. And while we stretch out our days at the beach, fall is dangerously approaching. But it’s not all bad, because that means a new collection of Netflix movies! And get ready, because the remaining months of this year are packed. Check it out!
What’s winter without a good drama? Guillermo del Toro’s long-awaited Frankenstein is coming to our screens very soon. Along with it, Kathryn Bigelow’s tense thriller A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE, plus Noah Baumbach’s star-powered Jay Kelly (which pairs George Clooney with Adam Sandler), and Clint Bentley’s poignant Train Dreams.
If you prefer something different but equally intense, Netflix has something for you, too! Benoit Blanc is back on the case in Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, which will delight fans of good murder investigations. But there’s more. Edward Berger’s Ballad of a Small Player, starring Colin Farrell, is coming to blow our minds. Ruth & Boaz, produced by DeVon Franklin and Tyler Perry, is ideal for hopeless romantics like us.
Plus, the magical In Your Dreams is perfect for cartoon lovers. And there will be some little-known gems like the Taiwan-set family saga Left-Handed Girl, or Nouvelle Vague, set in France. If investigative documentaries are your thing, you have to watch Geeta Gandbhir’s The Perfect Neighbor. But if you prefer intimate documentaries, Eddie is for you.
And for the holidays, Netflix is going all out! Christmas rom-coms will be the daily menu. Put on your list A Merry Little Ex-Mas (starring Alicia Silverstone), Champagne Problems (led by Minka Kelly), Jingle Bell Heist (featuring Olivia Holt), and My Secret Santa (with Alexandra Breckenridge).
