When we think of Rapunzel, we don’t really know who could take on the part. After all, it’s iconic and it is one of those roles that you’d be influencing a lot of little girls. That responsibility is a lot. Yes, we know it’s just a role. No, we aren’t overthinking it. Disney Princesses influence peoples lives.
We may not be able to think of who could play Rapunzel, but we do know that someone who auditioned for it. Who, you are asking? Well that would be Gigi Hadid. The model is on the cover of Vogue and in her interview she spoke about her audition for the live action adaptation of Tangled.
She spoke about how she auditioned for the role and how her boyfriend Bradley Cooper has, “fed her creative ambitions, acting among them.”
She said (when speaking about. her audition), “I was really proud of my scene. The singing…I knew they were going to go with a real singer, but I’ll show you my audition scene later.”
The model even took voice lessons for her audition. Though she ended up not getting the role, we think that it is great that she auditioned and really did all she could to get the part.
