NCIS Season 23, Episode 1 returns with the promise of revenge for Parker and with this team having his back, as always. In a way, it’s funny that we are here. This show started with Gibbs and was about Gibbs for so long that it’s almost unbelievable how well it has transitioned to Parker’s team. But this is, indeed, Parker’s team. However, it is Parker’s team in a way that doesn’t take away from how long it was Gibbs’s team. Weird, I know!
Anyway, back to Parker. Last we left, Carla Marino had killed his father. Inside his own house. If we were Parker, we’d want revenge. And if we were the team, we’d want to both protect Parker and kinda help him. But there’s a dichotomy. How will NCIS solve that? We’re about to find out in an episode that sees Nancy Travis guest-star as Parker’s sister, Navy Vice Admiral Harriet Parker.

“Prodigal Son (Part 1)” – Reeling from his father’s murder, Parker goes to extreme lengths to hunt down the woman he holds responsible, mob boss Carla Marino, jeopardizing not only his own future but the team’s, on part one of the 23rd season premiere of NCIS, Tuesday, Oct. 14 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. Nancy Travis guest stars as Parker’s sister, Navy Vice Admiral Harriet Parker.
