We love it when we are shocked by castings – because in life there are not a lot of things that really shock us. But leave it to Hallmark to keep us on our toes. Their signature show, When Calls The Heart, is the one shocking us today with the return of Brooke Shields.
Shields is set to return to the series for a three episode arc of the upcoming 13th season of the show.
Shields originally premiered on the show back in 2016, appearing in two episodes as Charlotte Thornton – Jacks mother. The character of Jack passed away in the shows fifth season off camera. Shields three episode arc in the 13th season will have her reprising the role.
When Calls The Heart stars Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarry, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally, Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith. Season 13 of the show is currently filming.
According to Variety, the new season of When Calls The Heart, will include “a heartwarming connection between Charlotte and her grandson, Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich), as she helps him reconnect with memories of his father.”
This writer has just started watching When Calls The Heart and it’s definitely a good show. I am hoping to catch up by the time the 13th season premieres in 2026.
