Love is Blind season 9 tests what it means to fall in love…again. Do looks, money, and other things matter when it comes to matters of the heart? Or can you fall in love with someone sight unseen? Again, we are watching a bunch of hopefuls navigate these questions in Love is Blind Season 9, Episodes 7-9. And since we can’t control ourselves (as evidenced by Love is Blind season 9 episodes 1-6 breakdown), here is our breakdown of episodes 7-9 of season 9!
1. How have your opinions of the couples changed after this batch of episodes?

Lizzie: I didn’t much like anyone, but now I hate everyone. Is this the worst cast of Love is Blind so far? I think it might just be, and I know for a fact I said this last season. I watch this for the drama, honestly, but even that is too much for me this year. Between Annie complaining every 0.2 seconds that Nick isn’t sufficiently in with her, even though it’s been days, Edmond being Edmond, Jordan’s chicken smoothie and Anton apparently having drinking issues, there’s no one I can trust here. If Sparkle Megan and Jordan don’t get married, no one else will.
Lyra: Not much has changed about how I feel about Love is Blind Season 9 when you compare the first six episodes to Episodes 7 through 9. These people suck and I’m wondering what kind of mental health tests or analysis are done before these people step into the pods. Because from where I’m standing as a viewer, possible future drama is being prioritized over actual connection. And I love drama. But I stay for the connection. And if you don’t have any of that, what do you have as a show besides chaos? That’s not enough.
2. Who is the biggest red flag of Love is Blind Season 9 Episodes 7-9?

Lizzie: I think Annie is a problem, yes, but I’m gonna have to go with the men in general. In fact, Jordan’s smelling like roses right now and he literally drinks a chicken breast and Crystal Light smoothie in the mornings. That’d be a dealbreaker for me. Here, he’s looking like the best option out of …
Anton clearly was/is still on a different vibe than Ali. My dude, it’s fine to have a drink every once in a while, but mimosas every morning after a night shift? Hell no. Edmond needs therapy, because he just keeps making everything about his beautiful fiancee who doesn’t deserve that. Everyone hates Nick, which is a huge red flag, as if the LGBTQ+ convo he had with Annie wasn’t already one. Joe is so rude and I kinda hope he’s been high or drunk all this time because that would at least explain his behavior.
Lyra: The men and Annie. Anton entered the experiment without being completely honest in the foundation he had built with Ali. Joe clearly has bigger issues going on right now that he needs to figure out first before trying dating in the first place. Same thing goes with Edmond. If you’ve got some things to work out within yourself, maybe don’t apply for a dating show?
Nick, especially in Episode 9 of Season 9, is not liked by anyone. And that wigs me out more than anything. Wait, I’m more wigged out by Annie apparently liking him. That says a lot about her if she likes the guy that no one likes. And then you have Jordan, who isn’t as bad as the rest. I’m just thinking about how he sold himself as a single parent when he’s not. It takes a village and this edit makes it seem like he has one. But I guess I won’t fault him for keeping tight lipped on his family and the dynamics within it.
3. Does Joe actually even like Madison? Should Madison run?

Lizzie: He doesn’t. Maybe he just doesn’t want to pay the fine, but I’m not even sure he finds her that attractive, and the woman is gorgeous. He keeps gaslighting her and trying to turn every argument on her when he’s genuinely sitting there half the time acting like she’s inconveniencing him.
So yeah, Madison, run. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Just get away from this man. Because if you don’t, your life is going to be miserably trying to prove you’re enough to someone who thought you were lacking from the beginning.
Lyra: Joe doesn’t like Madison at all. He’s trying to be nice because there’s a smidge of empathy there for her. There’s also the draw of making it down the aisle and becoming a social media influencer. But I think that’s it. And I look back at that argument in the kitchen and can’t help but think, “Are you baiting her in the hopes that she’ll walk away from this and you won’t be at fault?”
Madison, run. You, like KB, have been robbed of an authentic experience. But at this point, is Love is Blind authentic anymore?
4. Money has become a big problem for these couples in the real world. Is this worry valid?

Lizzie: I mean, it’s one that makes sense, at least. And I think these are conversations that need to be had if a couple is going to get married. And if you can’t get on the same page with your partner, aka if Jordan can’t swallow his ego and accept that his wife can and wants to put up a big down payment for a house for them to live together, then you should just walk away.
Then there’s Ali, but I half feel like she’s trying to test Anton with the money thing. She says she doesn’t want to work and I don’t even know that I believe her because she’s worked so hard in her career. Maybe she just wants him to offer? I don’t know, the whole thing is weird but no one’s properly communicating about it which is a bad, bad sign.
Lyra: Besides children, attitudes or habits about money is the biggest conversation that these contestants should be having on Love is Blind. I understand that talking about money is scary. And oftentimes we’re told to not talk about these things because it’s your “private business.” But if you’re going to be sharing a life with someone, that shyness needs to go out the window.
On one side you have Megan and Jordan. He has more of a hangup about money than she does. Megan has no problem putting down a big down payment because she has a specific way that she wants to live and she’s unapologetic about it while also living within her means. Jordan on the other hand is giving “I’m the man. Shouldn’t I be paying this?” But to be fair, he hasn’t directly said this. So maybe there’s something else?
And then there’s Ali and Anton. You can’t even be honest with each other about how much money you spend on Botox or that the other one likes to spend money partying it up at strip clubs. Your foundation is built on lies. And that’s not going to last.
5. KB seems to have come to the end of her rope with Edmond? What’s changed for her?

Lizzie: I’m convinced she’s been one step out the door since that sex convo and she’s just hanging on because there’s a big fine involved with walking away. Because even when she’s been “trying” she kinda seemed like she was waiting for the other shoe to drop. Which, valid! He’s proven that you need to brace yourself for that.
Lyra: KB is probably my favorite contestant this season of Love is Blind. And I’m so happy that those rose colored glasses of understanding have been pulled away. In Episodes 1 through 6 of Season 9 of Love is Blind, KB was being very understanding with Edmond because they had just met each other and she was giving him the benefit of the doubt. I think that the benefit of the doubt is gone after the reunion.
In the grand scheme of things, the “problem” we saw in the edit of Episode 9 isn’t a big deal. He made a small comment. She didn’t like it. But we’ve seen what kind of person KB has been up to this point. She’s kind, patient, and understanding. So what have we not seen that she is done? What other times has he disrespected her? This didn’t come out of nowhere.
6. Our couples were reunited with those from the pods. What moment can’t you stop thinking about?

Lizzie: Patrick was annoying me. Like, how can you sit there and tell Anna she was your number one and you were definitely going to pick her if you proposed to someone else. Clearly you were in it more for the fame than anything else, or you would have walked out after Anna. So no, you don’t get to sit there and be like it was you all along now. Doesn’t matter that Kacie turned out to be a jerk. That’s not on Anna.
Also, Kait, girl, you should have just told Annie about Nick telling you he loved you. Now, I don’t like Annie or Nick, but he’s clearly a manipulator and everyone has seen that because absolutely no one likes him.
Lyra: The funniest part of this reunion had nothing to do with the people from the pods. It had everything to do with Joe basically skirting around the fact that he does not like Nick. And the way that he was dodging answering the question makes it obvious that we’re not seeing the full picture when it comes to Nick.
Do any of the men like him? They were with him, day in and day out, when they weren’t on dates or sleeping back in the pods. So what happened? And what kind of person is Nick really that none of the men really click with him? Also, why is Nick not defending himself? Something feels weird.
7. Who will make it down the aisle? Who has ZERO chance?

Lizzie: Man, can we say no one? Maybe Megan and Jordan, I think. It depends on how things go with his kid, but even though some people were saying she was giving Stacy vibes at first, she couldn’t be more different. She really seems in with this and trying to make it work, for Jordan and his kid. So I think they’re the only ones with a chance.
Lyra: The only couple that has a slim chance of making it down the aisle are Sparkle Megan and Jordan. He’s got some hangups about not being able to put down as much money down for a home. And she has some valid hangups about child rearing and being a stepmom. Both weigh heavy on them but I think if they take the time, they can make it down the aisle.
As for everyone else, I think they’re just counting down the clock. People like Madison and Joe have major issues aka he’s not in it for love and he actually doesn’t like her. And like we talked about in Question 5, KB has reached the end of her tether when it comes to Edmond. Even Ali and Anton are done for me because they’re lying to each other about the lives they have led and want to lead.
