Well f***, I fell down the rabbit hole of Werewolf Verticals. I 100% get if you’re judging me for the addiction to watching vertical movies. The world is a dumpster fire and I need joy. So if I am finding joy and happiness in being financially irresponsible (ya, I know I say that a lot) and pay to watch these. But I could be addicted to things that are illegal so I don’t care. Billionaire Alpha Won’t Let Me Go, I adored the laughs and hated that I liked a werewolf one. What I do care about is that werewolves apparently call their babies pups.
And somehow that is weird to me.
I know that a lot of you will tell me that I need to call them ‘shows’ but I watch them like a movie and I refuse to call them anything else.
There are a few things that I can count on when it comes to these things – someone is gonna drop a towel and fall on the other person, not everyone will support your relationship, and there is a secret baby somewhere. Then there is the Dad always trying to fend off a boyfriend or a girlfriend as not good enough. Not to mention that there is ALWAYS going to be one ex or wanna be with really bad hair and is in desperate need of a better colorist.
Or telling that boyfriend or girlfriend that they are werewolves. Humans ain’t good enough for werewolves. This I have learned.
Some things are REALLY not okay.
However, here we are and we’re living in the werewolf world and people are always found out. Call it a wolf sense.
Zoe Lopez had left her man seven years ago after her mans Daddy sent her packing because she wasn’t good enough for his son. That being said though, do parents know better? Nope. Let their child love who they love.
Zoe skipped town, pregnant and scared. She’d been paid a half a million dollars to disappear but even though she took it, she never spent it. She struggled raising her son without Alex (werewolf alpha baby daddy) and never turned back.
I know, I know some people tend to want to be the martyr and Zoe Lopez has that kinda vibe going on. I totes get that she thinks she’s doing the right thing, but girl – you’re hurting someone you love – for what reason? Cause his Daddy says so? He’s wrong.
I guess you can only stay hidden for so long. Alex sees her at a gallery and his whole world changes. His woman back after all these years? Well he’s definitely gonna be all up in her face asking questions and wanting to know why she left.
Sir, some question can not be answered. Respect it.
Zoe of course tries to push him away. Only, she can’t really hide the child that is part werewolf from him. The werewolves have a sense about these things. And the side piece dude that wants to be with you that you can’t be with – well there is that too. Zoe’s got a lot of drama. Alex is trying to make it easier on her.
He ever opens an art gallery so he can make sure that she is safe and making that money. How she doesn’t get that, I do not understand. It’s pretty obvious that he’s going to make sure that she’s okay. He can’t get over her no matter what he tries.
Werewolf powers are you know – interesting. The thing is, I have lived through every single bad transformation of werewolves – cause you know – Twilight. Verticals take the cake. I mean WTF.
But I am invested. Invested because Alex’s bleach blonde is like trying to be a hero, but she’s also like let me kill Zoe and Casey – and then he will be with me? Girl, no. He’s gonna have you committed. That’s what is going to happen there.
I wonder if we need to talk to someone about costuming here – because this is bad. Costuming, makeup, hair. I am waiting for someone to find a way to make all of these things better. I get that not all of these have the highest production value, but I don’t normally mind that. Maybe it’s because the girl with the bleach blonde hair drives me insane.
Ultimately – you know there is going to be a kidnapping, heart break, misunderstandings, and well a lot of drama. Werewolves coming into their own – wolf awakenings are a trip. I don’t even know where to begin with that. Don’t even know how you’d explain that to a doctor, but then again – in a world where werewolves are everywhere,
Alex’s Dad is anti-Zoe and when she returns – he’s peeved. He’s such a monster.
With the ups and downs that happen – Alex and Zoe can’t seem to stay away from each other. Of course they end up together – because you know – happy endings and all. Alex finds out that Casey is his and he’s totally excited Alex is his Dad. Zoe is thrilled – love and all that good stuff.
There were times where I had to laugh. I can no longer saying the werewolves scene at the lumberyard in the Twilight saga is the worst werewolf scene ever. Cause OMG the transformations in these shorts…
I fell off my bed laughing.
Over all, I take these vertical movies as fun. They have issues and I will keep telling everyone they need to be more diverse. Because they do. But they are a ball of hot mess chaos but that is what makes them so great.
I call this one soft werewolf – it’s like soft glam, it’s there but it’s not something that anyone focuses on. Goes to show you if you just take a step back – you can and will have fun with this stuff. If anything – werewolf transformations – are comedic relief in this.
Is this a can’t miss? Na. It’s as if you can’t find one to watch – this one works. There is so much ridiculousness, but also who doesn’t love a happy ending (no matter how ridiculous).
